There is nothing better that sitting back and opening up a nice ice cold Coke or one of your favorite soda beverages, hearing the noise of the fizz as you take your first sip. Even if you are a once in a while soda drinker or a once a day soda drinker it can have some negative effects on your body and may be slumping your weight loss and be contributing to your weight gain. Drinking this “liquid candy”does not make you feel as full as if you had eaten the same calories from solid food and do not compensate by eating less .
Although soda is tasty and sometime what you may feel you need to help you get through your day, not only does drinking soda cause weight gain but it also has very negative effects on your body as a whole. Starting a food journal is easy and will overall help with a positive outcome for your weight loss journey.
2. Start Scheduling Your Soda
Although it is important to try to eliminate soda from your diet at first it will be difficult especially if you regularly consume soda on a daily basis. Try scheduling in a day or a couple days of week that you give yourself the opportunity to indulge on a soda. But, always make sure your recording when you are doing so, so that you do not go back to your old habits. It’s all about moderation!
3. Wean Yourself Off Slowly
Take slow steps to completely eliminating soda from your diet, the slower you go the more likely you won’t feel deprived and go back to your old habit of regular soda drinking.

Craving the fizz! Sparkling water is one of my new favorites and there are even types with natural flavors with little to none sugar. Always check the nutrition information to make sure you’re not loading up on sugars and go for the plain natural flavored carbonated water.

There are so many fun ways to add a little boost to your water; many people don’t enjoy drinking water because well it’s a little flavorless and boring. But hey, no one said water had to be boring! Try infusing your water with your favorite fruits to give your water a natural flavor. My favorite is adding strawberries to my water making it sweet!
